    Venue | The Solvay Library, Brussels

    This is a magnificent place born from the vision of one man, Ernest Solvay. It is here, at the former Institute of Sociology, that researchers from all countries gathered to share their thoughts. 

    Location

    Our event will be taking place at The Solvay Library, Rue Belliard 137, 1040 Brussels

    Public Transport

    By train: The nearest station is the “Brussels Luxembourg” station: exit the station and head towards Rue Wiertz. Go towards the European Parliament building and go under the building (not towards Place du Luxembourg!). Go down the stairs and turn left. On your right is Parc Léopold. Enter the park and follow the signs to Bibliothèque Solvay. 

    By metro: The nearest metro station is “Maelbeek” (metro lines 5 and 1). Take the “Chaussée d’Etterbeek” exit. Turn right and walk 10 minutes on Chaussée d’Etterbeek. Cross Rue Belliard and enter Park Léopold. Follow the signs to the Bibliothèque Solvay.

    By bus: line 12 or 21 – stop “Schuman” or stop “Luxembourg”

    Parking

    Driving and parking in Parc Léopold is not allowed, please use the car parks below:

    • In the nearby streets (paying) (Chaussée d’Etterbeek, Av.du Maelbeek, Rue Froissart,...)

    • Place Jourdan (paying). From there, join Avenue du Maelbeek. Cross the avenue and enter Parc Léopold. Then follow the signs to Bibliothèque Solvay.

    • The “Forte dei Marmi” car park (paying), Avenue du Maelbeek 61. Go down Avenue du Maelbeek

    Bike

    You will find “Villo!” stations nearby.

    • Place Jean Rey: station no. 68 “Jean Rey”

    • Rue Froissart 3: station no. 180 “Jourdan”

    • Gare du Luxembourg: station no. 100 “Gare du Luxembourg”

    • Chaussée de Wavre 229: station no. 102 “Museum”
